The long spey head integrates into the running line, eliminating the loop-to-loop connection in traditional spey setups. This design gives the line a buttery-smooth casting feel and reduces catching on the guides when you’re playing a fish. For added casting efficiency, Scientific Anglers added an ARP textured section where the shooting head begins for quick reference before you form a D-loop.
